GeoTradu Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
These terms apply to the GeoTradu app (Tu viaje seguro), by ELITE-PRO – Life in Potential, a brand of Elina Pujadas, based in Mendoza, Argentina. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it and uninstall it.
2. What GeoTradu is
GeoTradu is an assistance app for travelers: a voice and text translator, your location and street name, routes, nearby places, trip details, a currency converter, a trip diary and an “I need help” button that makes it easier to call emergency services and alert your family. No account is needed.
3. It does not replace emergency services
- The “I need help” button opens your phone’s dialer, WhatsApp, SMS or maps. Whether a call or message gets through depends on your signal, credit, battery, the permissions you granted and the networks of the country you are in.
- Emergency numbers for each country are entered carefully, but they may change. In an emergency, if something does not work, ask people nearby or the local authorities for help.
- The app does not alert anyone automatically and does not track your location when it is closed.
4. Translations, location and exchange rates
- Translations are automatic and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them alone for medical, legal or financial decisions; in those cases ask for an interpreter or a professional.
- Location, addresses and routes depend on your phone’s GPS and third-party map services, and may differ from reality.
- Exchange rates are for reference only. The rate charged by a bank, exchange office or shop may be different.
- Nearby places come from Google Maps. GeoTradu does not recommend or guarantee any hospital, business or service.
5. Third-party services
Some features use or open services from other companies: Google (translation, maps and the phone’s speech recognition), ElevenLabs (voice), OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (street name), open.er-api.com (exchange rates), WhatsApp, Uber and your phone or messaging app. Those services have their own terms and policies and are not controlled by us. If a third-party service stops working or changes, some app features may become unavailable.
6. Responsible use
Please use GeoTradu lawfully and respectfully. You may not:
- use the app to harass, threaten or deceive others, or for illegal purposes;
- use the translation and voice services in an automated or bulk way, or try to bypass their limits;
- copy, modify, decompile or resell the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- enter other people’s data without their permission (for example, contacts or medical information of someone who did not agree).
Do not use the screen while driving or crossing the street.
7. Your data and your phone
What you enter is stored on your phone. How we handle data that leaves your phone is explained in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You are responsible for looking after your phone, your PIN and your backup password: if you forget them, we cannot recover them, because we never receive them. We recommend making a backup before and after each trip.
8. Intellectual property
The GeoTradu name, its logo, the app design, its texts and its code belong to ELITE-PRO – Life in Potential. We grant you permission to use the app on your devices for personal, non-commercial use. Maps, translations and other third-party content belong to their owners.
9. Price
GeoTradu is currently free. If paid features are added in the future, their price and conditions will be clearly shown before any charge, which will be made through Google Play.
10. Liability
We work to make the app run well, but it is provided “as is” and may have faults, interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, ELITE-PRO – Life in Potential is not liable for damage resulting from translation, location or exchange-rate errors, from failures of third-party services or the network, or from being unable to use the app at a given time. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Argentina’s Consumer Protection Law 24.240 or other rules that cannot be waived by contract, nor the mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence.
11. Age
GeoTradu is intended for people aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, use it with the support of a responsible adult.
12. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The current version will always be on this page with its date. If a change is important, we will also announce it in the app. If you keep using GeoTradu after a change, you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. If you have a consumer claim, you may file it with the consumer protection bodies or courts that correspond to your place of residence.
